Epoxy primer is applied to metal surfaces and can replace anti-corrosion treatment. Its excellent adhesion does not cause any difficulties during application, and its coverage promotes the formation of dense layers. The dried product on the bottom of the car provides a quality impact resistance when gravel hits the underside of the vehicle.
The final product is formed by mixing the base material with the hardener and solvent. It is most often applied with a pneumatic gun, but can also involve the use of a paint roller. It takes a long time to dry, up to half a day. It provides even coverage of a thin or medium layer on surfaces made of colored and black metal, galvanized planes, painted or treated with putty substrates, fiberglass.
After mixing the components, the product should be used promptly within 10 minutes. This is due to the thermo-reactivity of the mixture, which heats up during chemical reactions and starts to harden quickly. The dried product on the surface of the car forms a strong protective layer that prevents damage. It is neutral to moisture and chemical reagents on roads during the winter period.
Acrylic and polyurethane enamels, clean alkyd materials and mixed materials (with acrylic, melamine) serve as the final paint coating.
