Approvers classify substances as reactive agents without which it is impossible to achieve the polymerization process. The basis of a colorless two-component lacquer is resin. In order for it to harden, the existing chemical formula must be changed to an unchanged one. To do this, curing components are used that initiate the transformation process, which helps to obtain a hard, sealed, stable coating.
Curing agents are convenient for their unpretentiousness: they solidify on their own or when heated, differing only in the duration of the process. Reaction catalysts are supplied with the lacquer or paint to exclude the buyer’s erroneous choice.
The portion that is added to the lacquer accounts for 51.5% (by volume, this is exactly half). If the consistency is too thick, a solvent can be added in an amount of 5-10% of the volumetric component. The composition of the curing agent is selected in the laboratory and therefore another brand from the same manufacturer cannot be used.
The lacquer product for application is mixed in the amount in which it will be used. Excess must be poured out, since the chemical process that has already begun will lead to the creation of a solid substance that is unsuitable for further use.
