To select the precise paint for treating a section of a car, one can only rely on a specialist with special equipment. If you plan to repaint areas of your car without visiting an auto repair shop, you will have to solve this problem yourself.
A transition solvent will help when it is necessary to restore the paint in the area of chipping, level out the color difference after crack repair, or even out the shade in the place of a former dent. It will come in handy if you chose the wrong paint, or if you made a mistake with the grain size. You may know the paint code of your car precisely, but after a few months, the shade will change its intensity under the influence of the sun.
The transition solvent will soften and blur the boundary contour between the old and new coating. Two liquid options are proposed: for the base paint and for the varnish. The product is used before using fresh enamel or varnish. It is applied to the boundary zone of the two colors. It is used in small doses because after application, the liquid boils, forming bubbles that are later removed during surface polishing.
For amateur drivers, it is better to buy a transition solvent in a can. It is easier to use, cheaper, and sufficient for processing small areas. For a painting workshop, it is better to buy the product in a can with application using a spray gun. The liquid product has increased fluidity, so it is better to practice on a separate surface beforehand.
