Quick and qualified execution of body painting can be achieved with 1K alkyd automotive enamel. To ensure good adhesion of the material to the car surface, it is necessary to prepare it by removing the old layer (or treating only a localized area) and removing all contaminants. The painted surfaces are primed and sanded. A new layer is applied over the old paint after the treated area is sanded.
To order 1K alkyd automotive enamel, it is necessary to calculate the painting area and multiply it by 2, as the manufacturer recommends creating two layers with intermediate drying for 10-15 minutes. The lacquer material consists of resin, fillers, plasticizers, curing accelerators, and alcohol film-forming agents.
The layers will dry within a day, and the vehicle can be used afterward. The paint’s atmospheric resistance will ensure color retention in any weather conditions. The color pigment will cover the base finish shade well or even out the color on repair areas similar to the original tone. The even shine will eliminate minor unevenness. The use of lacquer and paint products begins at an air temperature not lower than +10°C.
The one-component composition does not require mixing with other materials. The service life of alkyd enamel is up to 5 years. It is used for localized restoration of areas because if the entire car body is covered with it, it is necessary to carry out lacquering and polishing.
