Acrylic enamels are in high demand among both auto shop workers and vehicle owners who have decided to independently update the finish of their car’s body.
Synthetic resins, on the basis of which 2K auto enamel is made, are neutral to changes in temperature, contact with inorganic compounds, and moisture. They are inert to oily fractions and pigments, and are characterized by long-term aging.
Application is carried out using a paint gun, allowing for thin spraying, “torch” spraying, and localized spot coverage of the treated area.
The two-component enamel is applied twice in sequence. The first layer is made thin. After that, you need to wait 7-10 minutes to repeat the process. Final drying takes 20-30 minutes. Drips and uneven crusts are removed by polishing. Lacquer can be omitted: after drying, a glossy top layer is formed due to the components introduced under factory conditions.
For better adhesion, the surface is wiped with alcohol, which removes all grease and dust spots. At first, the process of stream delivery is checked on a separate surface (for example, cardboard sheets). If there is an increased graininess or incomplete coverage, the airflow should be adjusted by increasing the pressure.
