The hardener is used to create the proper polymerization reaction. Its role from a chemical perspective is to create new, stronger molecular chains. Improper application can lead to detachment or cracks due to a disruption in the pairing of molecules from different substances.
In comparing single- and two-component compositions, the former undergoes hardener evaporation after application. The drying process is significantly slowed down as there is a required period for the internal removal of the solvent material after film formation on the surface. By utilizing UV heating, the process can be stabilized over time.
In a two-component composition, evaporation is replaced by polymerization. The process is accelerated due to its uniformity and the reaction occurring simultaneously throughout the material.
To create the mixture, 4 parts of soil and 1 part hardener should be taken. The components are taken by weight, not volume (additional calculation is needed in the latter case). They are mixed and then the solvent is added. It should be added in a quantity that allows the substance to be freely sprayed through the paint gun. The prepared mixture is double-mixed with a break for standing for a couple of minutes.
The mixture cannot be prepared in advance as it will change the initial consistency.
