Finish putty is designed to add the final touches to preparatory repair work. It handles small defects such as inconspicuous reliefs, visible scratches after sanding. The product has good plasticity, the ability to smooth out small vertical drops, and uniform hardening.
The high efficiency of the activator, which needs to be mixed with the resin product, accelerates the process of hardening the layers, reducing temporary costs for full surface preparation. The hardener is taken in a ratio of 2 parts, and the putty – 100 parts. Changing the proportions of the components leads to poor results. Each layer is made up to a thickness of 3 mm, and the composition needs to be applied several times. Increasing the thickness will create sagging of the putty.
Sanding is performed with a fine-grained abrasive P150-P400. The result is a smooth surface without defects.
The product can be applied to old paint on a car, cleaned aluminum and steel parts of a machine. As for repairs in premises, finish putty is used for wooden furniture, polyester laminates. Good adhesion is observed with acrylic primer, nitrocellulose. Drying in natural conditions takes about half an hour, and if using infrared radiation – up to 8 minutes.
Dried layers are not afraid of thermal drops (temperature difference in the painting chamber and in the preparation zone) and complete the preparation of the car before applying the finish coating.
